This post will cover an in-depth Savvy System review (previously known as the VA Bootcamp) created by Abbey Ashely. It will cover detailed information to determine if the training program is a good fit for becoming a virtual assistant.
Learn more about what is a virtual assistant (VA)?
The SavvySystem is broken down into three parts. You can purchase The Savvy System, the Ultimate Savvy System, or the Savvy Vault (explained in detail below).
Are you a stay-at-home mom or someone looking to work from home? Maybe you need a flexible schedule or to find a great side hustle. Are you tired of being an employee? The Savvy System is a great program that is complete and can get you started with your online business. There are a couple of other VA courses available from Kayla Slone, and Gina Horkey. Still, I believe the Savvy System is the most complete course with the most ongoing support.
We purchased the Savvy system, which was then called The Virtual Savvy Bootcamp, in July of 2018.
I have to say that this program has some pros and some cons. I also don’t think this program is for everyone, and I’ll cover what you’d need to know before thinking about purchasing Abbey’s program.
Savvy System Review
The Savvy System was created by Abbey Ashley. It is legit and teaches you how to become a virtual assistant. Many students have become successful virtual assistants.

What is the Savvy system?
The Savvy system is a comprehensive course covering everything you need to know about becoming a virtual assistant and working from home.
Who Is Abbey Ashley?
Abbey Ashley is the founder, creator, and CEO of the Savvy System, a virtual assistant training company. Abbey received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2012 and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Management and Organizational Leadership in 2013.
Once Abbey became a new mom, she wanted a way to stay home with her baby. She was bored, and a friend suggested she become a Virtual Assistant. They were living in a basement apartment and were living paycheck to paycheck.
She started her own VA business, and it grew so quickly she was able to hire a team of subcontractor VAs to help with her workload. After she grew her income and business, she knew she was hooked.
Abbey started an email list, and once she reached 1,000 subscribers, she asked her list what they wanted to learn from her. The most popular answer was how to earn an income as a virtual assistant.
Abbey decided to create an online program to teach others how to earn a part-time or full-time VA.
Thus, the Savvy System was created, and she hasn’t looked back. Abbey has now helped over 50,000 virtual assistants.
Abbey has grown her own training business through the years. She hired many other virtual assistants to work for her full time. She wanted to provide the best support, training, and customer care, which made it one of the best virtual assistant training programs to date.
Next, we’ll cover what you’ll learn in the course.
What’s Inside the SavvySystem Course
The SavvySystem has a proven track record. It consists of the following three main phases that make it easy to follow:

The entire course is broken down into modules. The modules are broken down into bite-size training, which includes videos and homework assignments where you implement the steps that you just learned in the videos.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to reach milestones, which Abbey has made fun by giving you a certificate of completion as a reward. These milestones can be very motivational and keep you on track with the course. The Savvy System Review Pros
The Savvy System is a complete system that can take you from knowing nothing about becoming a virtual assistant to becoming a fully booked VA.
The course is self-paced so that you can work at your own speed. It does offer a timeline that is quite easy to follow if you want structure.
The training is broken down into bite-sized chunks, making it easy to learn and implement as you go through the course.
You get lifetime access to the Facebook group, where you can attend weekly open office hours to ask questions and learn from Abbey and other team members.
You receive job opportunities listings only posted in the Facebook group for paid members. These opportunities can help you grow your business.
The training is video-based learning with some homework tasks. Once completed, you simply move on to the following video. Each video helps you move closer to your first client.
This program will work for both women and men. Several men are in the Facebook group working as VA’s.
The program comes with contracts that an attorney wrote. You can send your proposals to The Virtual Savvy for them to review and critique before submitting them to your potential clients.
There is an entire template vault to help you communicate with prospective and current clients more effectively.
Suppose you are interested in building a website to market your business. In that case, you will learn how to set one up using WordPress.org or Squarespace.
The Savvy System comes with a full 30-day money-back guarantee. I don’t think you’ll need this, but it’s there if you do.
The Savvy System Review Cons
The SavvySystem virtual assistant course does not include the Savvy Vault. If you need to learn more tech skills to offer your clients, you’ll have to pay for the monthly or yearly option of the Savvy Vault.
Fortunately, the Savvy System has many successful VA’s and positive reviews.

How Much Does the Savvy System Cost?
If you would like to sign up for The Savvy System, click the link and scroll to the bottom of the page. You can select between the two different paid course options. They are the Savvy System and The Ultimate Savvy System.
Savvy System costs are a one-time payment of $1,497 or broken down into 12 payments of $147 each.
The Savvy System option includes the entire course and all of Abbeys bonuses.
Ultimate Savy System cost is a one-time payment of $2,997 or broken down into 12 monthly payments of $297.
The Ultimate Savvy System includes all the Savvy System and Savvy Vault courses. The Ultimate Savvy System is the most complete system available.
In my opinion, this is invaluable if you are looking to specialize (from the scale module). Mastering just one of these skills and having the confidence to offer it as a service can truly help increase the amount you can charge your clients. I purchased the lifetime membership, and the courses have helped us in our other business.
The Savvy System is expensive, but that is relative to what you compare it to. At the time I’m writing this post, educationdata.org states the following:
“The average cost per credit hour at any private postsecondary institution is $1,081; the cost per course is $3,242.” It states that those costs do not include books and supplies.
So, suppose you want to take a course at a private college. In that case, you’d pay more for that one college class than you would to have everything you need to start and grow your own virtual assistant business where you can work from your own home.
You can have a virtual assistant business where some users who complete the program state, they are making over six figures. Former students state how they love having the freedom to set their hours, work when they want, charge clients what they are worth, and get to work from the comfort of their own homes.
Is The Savvy System for Everyone, and Is It Worth It?
No, The Savvy System is NOT for Everyone! It is for serious individuals that can see themselves working from home. Some people need an extra income instead. The wonderful thing is you can make this type of business a part-time or full-time business.
This program is not for individuals that aren’t serious about starting a business from home. If you don’t like to work with and help people with their business, this probably isn’t a good fit.
Yes, it is worth it if you want to start an online, home-based business and are willing to do the work. This course is extensive, and there is a lot of work to complete. But, if you are serious about a new career that offers you the ability to stay home, have flexible hours, and potentially make six figures, then it is worth it.
Do I Need to Purchase Anything Else?
Yes, suppose you want to build a website. In that case, there could be a cost for a domain name, hosting, a logo, a professional theme (but there are free theme options available), any advertising fees or marketing you would want to pay for (but is not required), and any other things you’d like to help with your business such as pens, paper, printer, printing paper, markers, large monitors, just to name a few.
But most of these are inexpensive or not needed to start making money first. Abbey is a big proponent of getting yourself out there and landing your first client quickly. Once you start making money, you can always add the other things you might want for your business.
Savvy System Refund Policy
You have nothing to lose by purchasing the program and giving it a try. The Savvy System states that they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for their course. So, you can have 30 days to determine if the program is a good fit for you.
The Savvy Vault Membership Can Be Purchased Separately
If you want to learn and improve your tech skills, then the Savvy Vault may be what you are looking for. The Savvy Vault provides in-depth tech training that you can use to increase your skills and charge more by becoming an expert in those areas. You can also use what you learned for your own business.
Inside the Savvy Vault, you will find over 70 tech training courses. Inside, you’ll have access to courses about Asana, Facebook Ads, Branding 101, Buffer, Calendly, ConvertKit, Google Analytics, Google Suite, Infusionsoft, Kajabi, Instagram, WordPress web development, Squarespace, Shopify, Trello, and so many more.
Take only the courses you need or take them all. You’ll have access while a member. If you bought the Ultimate Savvy System, you don’t need to purchase the Savvy Vault membership, including Lifetime access and future updates.
Abbey also has added some bonuses if you purchase. She is offering the following bonuses:
- Monthly “Ask Me Anything” Tech Calls
- Access to the Savvy Vault Community (Facebook Group)
- Monthly Interviews with Guest Experts

Frequently Asked Questions
Question 1: Do I have to work full-time as a virtual assistant, or can I work part-time?
Answer 1: You can work both as a virtual assistant. Some individuals work full-time jobs and start their VA business as a side hustle. Once their VA business surpasses their income, they may want to quit their full-time job to work from home. It’s incredible having the flexibility to set your hours, times you work, types of work you select to do, all while working from home.
Question 2: How much money can I charge a client?
Answer 2: It depends on your skill level, the experience you have with the skills you will offer, and if you specialize or are a generalist (offering mainly office skills). You can make anywhere between $10 an hour up to six figures.
